The companies
we invest in

We are highly selective in the businesses we invest in. We are patient, conservative investors who invest capital to help companies enhance business processes, pursue new growth opportunities or restructure to improve profitability.

We are risk averse and seek to preserve our capital while maximizing our risk-adjusted returns. For these reasons, we focus on established companies with strong management, a unique offering or competitive advantage, and high potential for future growth.

For businesses that require capital to overcome business setbacks or challenges, we use our management expertise to partner with company employees and management to establish a foundation for long term profitability and success.

To date, we have invested in more than 100 companies in North America across a diverse range of sectors, from technology, to fisheries, to manufacturing and mining. To see some of the companies in which we’ve taken an ownership interest, view our timeline of sample acquisitions.
